About us
The Glenorchy congregation meets at 446 Main Road Glenorchy. Access to the church carpark is at the rear in Kensington Street.
On the first Sunday of each month we have a combined service with the Claremont-Bagdad congregation at 10am. To find out where we are on the first Sunday of the month, you can contact us or check our Facebook page. Dates and locations are also listed under "Other Information" on the Resources page of this site.
Our style of worship is mostly traditional, but can vary widely. Church members take an active role in services.
Following the service we gather in the fellowship room in the hall behind the church for morning tea and chat.

A bit more about the church building:
The church was built and opened in 1910 as the Glenorchy Methodist Church. In 1977 it became part of the Uniting Church in Australia. The attractive brick building contains some lovely stained glass windows, believed to have been designed by Rev W. Vawdon and made by the Trowbridge Brothers of Hobart. Several of these windows, and other plaques and objects within the church, are dedicated as memorials to those connected with the church in the past.
