About us
The Claremont-Bagdad congregation meets at the Claremont Uniting Church at 38-40 Wyndham Road, Claremont, next to the BP service station. Access to the church and carpark is at the rear, off Bristol Road.
While the church building is in the suburb of Claremont, the congregation is called the Claremont-Bagdad congregation as some church ministry continues in the township of Bagdad.
Services are normally at 10 am on Sundays at Claremont. However on the first Sunday of the month we have a combined service with the Glenorchy congregation at 10am, alternating between the two sites. For information on where we are on the first Sunday of the month, you can contact us or check our Facebook page. Dates and locations are also listed under "Other Information" on the Resources page of this site.
Our style of worship is largely traditional, but can vary widely. Church members take an active role in services.
Following the service we gather in the fellowship area for morning tea and chat.
For hire of the hall or church at Claremont: please contact Stuart Lenthall, mob. 0417 720 395

Coffee at Claremont
A group of us meet in the food court area of the Claremont Plaza shopping centre, in Claremont, at 10am-11am on Friday mornings.
Bagdad Ministry
Bagdad is a small rural town about 30 kms north of Claremont. A retired Minister, Rev Jim Colville, continues to provide some one-on-one ministry to the people of that community, with the support of the rest of the Claremont-Bagdad congregation. There is no longer a church building at Bagdad.
